Want to contribute your skills and time in a more structured way? Hollow Oak Land Trust offers volunteer opportunities through committees that support our mission in specific areas. Committee members help guide planning, outreach, and program support while working closely with staff and fellow volunteers.
Committees are a great fit for people who want a steady, ongoing way to make a difference and to put their professional or personal skills to work for conservation. Most committees meet regularly, and members take on projects that match their interests and availability.
Examples of committee volunteer roles may include:
- Development & Communications: Support fundraising efforts, help plan and run events, strengthen member engagement, share stories that connect people to the land, and coordinate marketing and outreach.
- Land Stewardship Support: Help organize and improve our stewardship efforts, from planning volunteer workdays to identifying needs across our conservation areas.
- Montour Woods Greenway: Support the development and promotion of our flagship Greenway, helping to build awareness, partnerships, and community enthusiasm for this regional trail corridor.
Why join a committee? Committee members help shape the direction of Hollow Oak’s work, build connections with like-minded neighbors, and see the results of their efforts in the protected places our community enjoys. No prior land trust experience is required, just a willingness to learn and contribute.
If you don’t see a specific committee listed, we’re still glad to match you with a role that fits your interests and availability.
