With a small staff and more than 800 acres to protect and maintain, Hollow Oak Land Trust depends on volunteers to help us conserve local land for generations to come.
Trail Luv Mondays
Weekly Trail Maintenance (April–October)
Mondays, 5:30–7:30 PM
Location varies—please check our Events page for current details, or contact ZJones@hollowoak.org
Join Hollow Oak volunteers to help maintain and strengthen our sustainable trail network for hiking and biking across multiple conservation areas. Activities may include:
- Pruning vegetation
- Installing or supporting erosion control features
- Raking debris and managing trail litter
- Helping expand safe, accessible trail experiences
What to expect: Work gloves and water provided; refreshments served afterward.
Become a Land Steward
Help protect the land—beyond one-day events. Hollow Oak Land Trust relies on volunteer Land Stewards to care for protected properties and conservation easements over time. Rather than a single work party, Land Stewards “adopt” a site and support ongoing stewardship year after year.
Conservation Monitors
Support Hollow Oak by helping monitor conservation lands on a regular schedule (typically **4–6 visits per year**). Monitors assess the condition and needs of the preserve and share updates with staff so we can respond quickly to concerns and maintain long-term protection.
Volunteer Photography & Videography
Capture the beauty of protected lands throughout the year. Your photos and/or video may be used in Hollow Oak publications, our website, and social media to help share impact and build community support.
Youth Groups & Scout Troops
Volunteering to care for the land aligns beautifully with the goals of many youth organizations. Whether your group needs an outdoor service project or a hands-on conservation experience, we’ll work with you to create a meaningful opportunity for youth to learn and give back.
Internships & Student Projects
Interested in gaining hands-on experience in conservation? Hollow Oak works with students and interns on projects that support land protection, stewardship, education, and community engagement.
