At Hollow Oak Land Trust, we believe healthy landscapes, thriving communities, and sustainable outdoor experiences go hand-in-hand. Our work advances land conservation, supports economic resilience, protects natural habitats, and invites people to connect with the outdoors — responsibly and respectfully.

Greenways & Economic Development

Greenways connect neighborhoods, parks, and business districts through protected trails and natural corridors. By improving outdoor access and transportation alternatives, greenways strengthen local economies, support small businesses, increase property value, and enhance quality of life across the region.

Land Stewardship

Conservation doesn’t end with land protection — it continues through active care. Our stewardship work includes habitat restoration, invasive species management, sustainable trail maintenance, and routine property monitoring to ensure healthy forests, clean water, and thriving wildlife habitat.

Land Protection

We permanently protect land through conservation easements, property acquisitions, and partnerships with landowners and municipalities. Our priorities include safeguarding sensitive habitats, stream valleys, trail corridors, and open space that benefits both people and nature — now and for future generations.

Hollow Oak & Landowners

Hollow Oak collaborates with landowners who want to conserve their property. We provide guidance on conservation options, help navigate legal and tax considerations, and ensure long-term stewardship so that important natural areas remain protected while honoring landowners’ goals.

Hunting Policy & Permits

Hunting on Hollow Oak properties is allowed only where appropriate and is managed to support safety, wildlife health, and stewardship objectives. Certain sites require permits and all hunters must follow Pennsylvania Game Commission regulations and Hollow Oak property guidelines.

Trail Services

Our Trail Services program plans, builds, and maintains sustainable trails that connect people to the outdoors. We partner with volunteers, municipalities, and community groups to improve trail access, install signage, and support safe, enjoyable recreation across our conservation areas.
