Stained-glass mosaic is a beautiful blend of stained glass and mosaic art. In this class, you’ll create your design on a clear glass base so it catches and shines in the light like traditional stained glass—but instead of soldering, we use a glue-and-grout process. This allows for a deep exploration of color and composition as you decorate a frame using vibrant pre-broken glass and tile selections.

Templates will be available for inspiration, or you can create a free-style composition. Mix and match pieces to discover what fits best as Debbie from Songbird Artistry guides you through the process of creating your own mosaic piece for your home or garden.

You’ll also learn how to grout during class. Grouting supplies will be provided for use in class and will be available to take home if you prefer to complete that step later.

Please note this class uses sharp tools, so come prepared. All tools and materials are provided. Creative freedom is encouraged, and multiple design options will be available, so finished pieces may differ from examples shown.

If you’d like to bring your own image for inspiration, we suggest something approximately 8×11 inches with simple outlines or imagery. Coloring pages work wonderfully as templates. Not sure if your image will work? Feel free to email debo1960@aol.com for guidance.

Instructor: Debbie has been a stained glass artist for over 18 years and runs Songbird Artistry with her daughters. She began creating art alongside her late husband, and her style has evolved and deepened over the years. She loves sharing this meditative and joyful practice with others.
