Race to the Moon Mountain Bike Race

One of the most popular mountain bike races in the Pittsburgh area, Race to the Moon celebrates both municipal and private greenspace by combining park amenities with the 10-mile trail system created by Hollow Oak staff and volunteers. All proceeds support the mission of Hollow Oak to protect and connect greenspace in the Pittsburgh area.

Race Day Registration Opens at 8AM at Moon Park – Clearview Pavilion. There will be a mandatory Riders Meeting at 9:30AM. Men/Women/Juniors: $30 Pre-register by Sept. 9th or $50 day of race
Expert course is approximately 23 miles (3 laps)
Classes/Awards: Men: 1-45, 46-up; 1, 2 , 3 – Single Speed; 1, 2, 3 – Women: 19-39, 40+; 1,2 eMTB: 1, 2 (Class 1 only, no modifications)
Sport course is approximately 17 miles (2 laps)
Classes/Awards: Junior: 1-18; 1,2,3 – Men: 19-29, 30-42, 43-49, 50-up; 1,2,3 – Women: 19-39, 40-up; 1, 2, 3 – Clydesdale 200+ (By Helltown); 1, 2 – Fat Bike (min. 3.8” tires); 1, 2 –Single Speed; 1,2,3–Overall; 1, 2, 3
Novice course is approximately 10 miles (1 lap)
Classes/Awards: Junior A: 1-12, Junior B: 13-18; 1,2 – Men: 19-39, 40+; 1, 2 Women: 19-39, 40+; 1, 2
