Nike Missile Site History Walk, 16+ Recommended

Join retired U.S. Army First Sergeant George Millerschoen on a short, walking tour of a former Cold War Nike Hercules Missile Site. Mr. Millerschoen began his military career as a Nike Hercules Missile Crewman in 1972 at Finleyville, Pennsylvania. During this short, informal walking tour, he will point out and discuss personnel and equipment locations and explain the weapon’s capabilities and its strategic importance to the Pittsburgh area. Mr. Millerschoen welcomes any questions you may have about the site and is looking forward to sharing his unique perspective on this fascinating piece of local history. This walk is intended for ages 16 and up, but everyone is welcome. Please bring water and wear closed toe shoes.
