Amphibian Walk, All Ages

May 14 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Explore amphibians on a walk with Dr. Catie Hanna, a behavioral ecologist and biology professor at Robert Morris University. Dr. Hanna’s research is focused on amphibian conservation. She is specifically interested in understanding the breeding behaviors and population genetics of Jefferson’s salamander.

Experience the magic of a twilight walk in Montour Woods! Join us as we listen for the chorus of native frog species and dive into the fascinating world of amphibians exploring why protecting these unique creatures is so important. This family friendly adventure begins at Downing Drive, taking us along the wooden walkway and into the woods beside the creek where we may look for salamanders! Remember to bring a flashlight and wear mud and water ready boots.
